Getting to the North Fork

Good news – just about every airliner in the country flies into Long Island.  Between LaGuardia, JFK, and MacArthur Islip Airport, flights are not hard to come by.

We recommend flights into Islip. Located in eastern Long Island, this small airport is about an hour’s drive from Riverhead and Greenport. Southwest offers direct flights from Baltimore, Chicago Midway, Seattle, San Jose and St. Louis, and Tampa Bay, as well as flights with stops from Austin, Boise, and Dallas--locations that cover just about all our guests. Car rentals are available at all airports. For those interested in public transportation, the Hampton Jitney motorcoach service runs to Eastern Long Island and offers connections from JFK, LaGuardia and Islip. More information is available at www.hamptonjitney.com.

The New Yorkers can hop the Long Island Railroad to Greenport. (www.mta.nyc.ny.us/lirr) The Hampton Jitney from Manhattan is another convenient option. We've also included driving directions to Raphael Vineyard ( www.raphaelwine.com) below. Most of our guests’ accommodations are within a few miles of Raphael so it seemed a convenient central point. If you're having any trouble finding directions to your hotel or B&B, please let us either of us know.
